I decided to pick plastic as my material to investigate. Plastic is a lightweight, versatile material which comes in a variety of colours as well as often being transluscent. It’s used in manufacturing and many different kinds of packaging. When I think of plastic I think of consumerism and waste. This inspired me to make my sculpture. I collected plastic packaging rubbish around the house for 2 weeks and decided to use it to make a jellyfish sculpture.
