Site Analysis

As part of my Summer homework before my return to University, I had to pick 3 derelict sites and do an in-depth site analysis using different mediums.

I picked 3 local sites here in Dundee; Seaman’s Chapel on Candle Lane, The old Van Leer Building up at Camperdown Leisure park and where the old burnt down Christmas shop was on the Murraygate in the city centre. I used a variety of mediums to record my site analysis including watercolours, pastels, photography and pen and charcoal sketches as well as digital. Here are the results;
